No. We accept students of all religious backgrounds.

Our preschool program runs in conjunction with our K-8 grade school year, which is typically after Labor Day through early June.

Our teachers are all licensed through the State of Minnesota in the areas that they teach, and over 80% of our teachers have advanced degrees. Shakopee Area Catholic School is accredited by MNSAA (Minnesota Non-public School Accrediting Association). Our preschool programs are nationally accredited by NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children) and recognized by the Archdiocese as a Faithful Beginnings preschool.  

There is no busing for preschool students. K-8 grade students, within district boundaries, are provided busing through Palmer Bus Service.

Yes. We follow the same state standards as the public schools.

Our students are very well prepared for the next step in their educational journey. Our graduates attend a variety of high schools, including, Holy Family Catholic High School, Academy of Holy Angels, Southwest Christian High School, St. Thomas Academy, Benilde St. Margaret’s, Chesterton Academy, Shakopee High School, and Prior Lake High School.

Preschool students do not wear a uniform.  Students in K-8 do wear uniforms.   (Link to the uniform pages for Elementary and Middle School).

Shakopee Public Schools provides our special education services, including an onsite speech pathologist. Additionally, we have a special services director who coordinates these services for students in PreK-8th grade.

Yes. We have a full-time teacher dedicated to this program.

Before/after school care is offered to children grades PreK-5th grade during the school year. Care for children in grades PreK-5 is provided onsite through the YMCA School Age Care program. Before school care is offered between 6:15am-school start time, and after school care is offered after school-6:15pm.

For preschool, the maximum is 18 students per 2 teachers. For K-8, our average class size is 21 students. We have three sections in each grade.

We have about 600 students PreK-8th grade.

Half-Day Preschool is 8:30am-11:30am (either M/W/F or Mon-Fri)

Full-Day Preschool is 7:45am-2:25pm

Elementary is 7:45am-2:25pm

Middle School is 7:45am-2:25pm
